Dr. Cholewa is an expert in the identification of plants and plant particles from across the northern U.S., including some ornamentals, and can work with fresh or dried materials. She has worked, over 15 years, with various local investigators and prosecutors (on-site assistance can be provided), and has experience with court testimony. She can also provide seminars in forensic botany for training or informational purposes. She currently holds a membership in the Minnesota Chapter of the International Association for Investigators.

Currently Dr. Cholewa is a Museum Curator at the Bell Museum of Natural History, University of Minnesota. Plant identifications and other outreach services provided for a nominal fee. Resumé available on request.
