Forensic Pathology

The specialty area dealing with the investigation and determination of why people die. The forensic pathologist is a medical doctor trained in the interpretation of injury patterns and frequently performs autopsies to ascertain the cause and manner of death. Using investigative information, physical evidence, autopsy reports and other miedcal information, the forensic pathologist can often reconstruct what actions occurred to a person around the time of death.
