Edward Bick, D.D.S. - Bio

Dr. Bick regularly speaks to a variety of law enforcement, education, and dental groups regarding the use of forensic odontology. He has expertise in the WinID computer software and CAPMI computer software to identify human remains in mass fatality situations. He also has training in using digital analysis to examine bite mark evidence.
In 1986, Dr. Bick joined the Minnesota Mass Fatality Dental Identification Team. He has been the Team Coordinator since 1991, which includes responsibility for ongoing operations and education. He serves as a consultant in forensic dentistry to the Hennepin County and Ramsey County Medical Examiners' Offices, involving cases related to identification of human remains and bite mark evidence.
In addition to his DDS, Dr. Bick has also received training at the Multiple Death Disaster Management Symposium (sponsored by the Wisconsin Coroners/Examiners Association and the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association, in conjunction with the State of Wisconsin Division of Emergency Government.
He has also received training at the 31st Annual Course in Forensic Dentistry, sponsored by the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and American Registry of Pathology. He also participates in ongoing training through the American Academy of Forensic Sciences annual meetings. |
